Purple Kind Koala Card

Hey everyone! Here we go w/another purple card so you know I love it lol! I made this adorable card using my Stampin' Up! Kind Koala stamp set and Beautiful Wings Embosslits. Of course I love the colors, the butterflies are adorable and the bow's a nice finishing touch. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 6" x 9" piece of dark purple card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" piece of light purple for the middle layer, a 4" x 5 1/2" piece of white for the front layer, a 2 1/2" x 4" piece of dark purple for the image first layer, a 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" piece of light purple for the image middle layer and a 2" x 3 1/2" piece of white for the image.

Next sponge Stampin' Up! Elegant Eggplant ink on the front layer in various shades then use a straw (or other high tech flicking device lol!) to flick water randomly on the card stock and allow it to dry. In the mean time stamp the koala using Stazon Jet Black ink then color it with an aqua painter and Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake and Elegant Eggplant inks. Next attach a self-adhesive rhinestone to the center of the flower. Then cut out the butterflies using a Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslit and attach the self-adhesive rhinestones in the center of each. Next create your bow using your desired technique. I attached ribbon around the card stock using adhesive on the back of both sides then made the bow using a mini bowdabra. I just love that thing and use it a lot. Here's a pic if you're not familiar with it:

Next all that's left to do is attach the bow w/adhesive or hot glue (preferably hot glue if you actually want it to stick lol!), attach the butterflies with mini pop dots, then assemble the card and enjoy!
