Cupcake and Hearts Valentine Card

I made this adorable card with my Stampin' Up! Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. It's definitely one of my favorites because the images are adorable and oh so much fun to color lol! I love how this turned out. The colors are gorgeous together and I love that background. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 6" x 9 1/2" piece of red card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" piece of dark pink for the first layer, a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of light pink for the second layer, a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white for the front layer, a 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" piece of red for the strip's background, a 1 1/8" x 5 1/4" piece of patterned paper for the strip, 2 1/8" x 3 1/8" piece of red for the image's background, a 2" x 3" piece of white for the image, a  1" x  3" piece of red for the sentiment's background and a 7/8" x 2 7/8" piece of white for the sentiment.

Then punch the hearts with small heart punches and cut out the large red glitter heart with a Stampin' Up! Hearts a Flutter Framelits die and set them aside. Next create the background: randomly rub pink and red Gelatos pigment sticks on white card stock, blend the colors by painting over them with a paintbrush and water, let dry completely, lightly rub and blend gesso over entire background with your finger or paintbrush until you've achieved your desired look and allow to dry again. Meanwhile attach the patterned paper to its background, attach the ribbon around it, then attach it to the front layer. Next stamp the cupcake in Stazon Jet Black ink then color it with Stampin' Up! Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo Stampin' Blendabilities markers. Then apply Diamond Stickles glitter glue to the cupcake, allow it to dry, attach the hearts to each other with mini pop dots then to the cupcake with another mini pop dot, attach the cupcake to its background then to the front. Next stamp the sentiment with a Craft Smart Happy Valentine's Day stamp in Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo ink, attach it to it's background then to the front. Then attach the remaining hearts with mini pop dots, finish assembling the card and enjoy!
