Soft Swirls Mother's Day Card

I made this pretty card using my Stampin' Up! Soft Swirls stamp and the emboss resist technique. I really like how it turned out. Emboss resist is one of my favorite techniques and I love the colors. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 6" x 9 1/2" piece of dark purple card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" piece of turquoise for the middle layer and a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece for the front layer.

Then heat emboss the background on white card stock using Versamark ink and white embossing powder. When cool sponge Stampin' Up! Elegant Eggplant and Tempting Turquoise ink over the embossing. The embossing resists ink so it's easily removed by wiping over it with a lightly water spritzed soft cloth or paper towel. Next attach the background to the middle layer and the ribbon around both layers. Then cut out the sentiment with a Spellbinders Labels Four Die, sponge it's edges and stamp the sentiment with Elegant Eggplant ink and attach it to the front layer with mini pop dots. Next cut out the butterfly with a Stampin' Up! Butterfly Thinlits die, attach it to the front layer with a mini pop dot, attach the middle layer to the base and enjoy!

Please let me know if you have any questions, I'm always happy to help. I always appreciate any comments/suggestions that you'd like to share. Thank you for stopping by, have a great day!

Stippled Rose Mother's Day Card

I made this beautiful Mother's Day card using my Stampin' Up! Stippled Rose stamp and the shaving cream technique. I love how it turned out. The roses are gorgeous and the background turned out great. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 6" x 9 1/2" piece of dark purple card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" piece of light purple for the middle layer, a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white for the front layer, a 3" x 3 1/2" piece of dark purple for the rose's background and a 2 7/8" x 3 3/8" piece of white for the roses.

Then create the background with the shaving cream technique with the following supplies: Stampin' Up! Elegant Eggplant and Tempting Turquoise re-inkers, shaving cream, a wooden stick, a container, and paper towels . Click here for an awesome tutorial. While the background's drying stamp the roses in Stazon Jet Black ink, watercolor them with either an aqua painter or blender pen and Stampin' Up! Elegant Eggplant and Garden Green Classic Stampin' Pads then attach them to their background. Then cut out the sentiment with a Spellbinders Labels One Die, sponge the edges and stamp the sentiment with Elegant Eggplant ink. Next attach the shaving cream background to the middle layer, the ribbon around both layers, and the roses to the background. Then attach the sentiment with mini pop dots and the middle layer to the base and enjoy!

Here's another card that I made in pink with the following inks: Stampin' Up! Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo re-inkers for the background and Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, and Garden Green Classic Stampin' Pads for the roses.

Next cut the remaining panels with the measurements in the bottom half of the chart, stamp them in Stazon Jet Black ink and water color them with either an aqua painter or blender pen and the following Stampin' Up! ink pads: Stampin’ Up! Pale Plum, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky, Gumball Green, Pumpkin Pie, Baked Brown Sugar, Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirouette. Then assemble the card, cut out the bunny in the balloon, attach it to the right panel with mini pop dots and enjoy!

A Rose is a Rose Thinking of You Card

I made this gorgeous card with my Stampin' Up! A Rose is a Rose stamp set. I love this set because it's so detailed and since it's a two step stampin' set you can create tons of color combinations. I like how this turned out, the colors are pretty and I really like the layout. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Stampin' Up! Pretty in Pink card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white for the middle layer, and a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of patterned paper for the front layer.

Next stamp the flowers' first step in Stampin' Up! Pretty in Pink ink then using a Stamp a ma jig stamp their second step in Stampin' Up! Positively Pink ink over the first step. Next stamp the leaves' first step in Stampin' Up! Old Olive and the second step in Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke inks. Then cut out the flowers and leaves and set them aside. Next cut out the label background with a Spellbinders Labels Seventeen die, attach it to the front layer then stamp the sentiment in Positively Pink ink with a stamp from a Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations set. Then cut out the butterflies with a Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings embosslit. Next attach the butterflies, flowers and leaves to the front layer with mini pop dots, attach the front layer to the middle layer, the middle layer to the base and enjoy!

Here's a similar card that I made with Stampin' Up! Pale Plum and Perfect Plum inks and Elegant Eggplant card stock. Enjoy!

Purple Butterfly Thank You Card with Watercolor Background

I made this gorgeous card with my Inkadinkado butterfly stamp which is one of my favorite butterfly stamps. It's the perfect size and I love the detail. I love how this turned out, it's so bright and colorful! Here's how to make it:

First cut a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Stampin' Up! Wisteria Wonder card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4" x 5 1/2" piece of white for the front layer, a 2 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Wisteria Wonder for the strip's first layer and a 2 1/8" x 5 1/2" piece of white for the strip.

Then cut the Wisteria Wonder strip's edge with a Stampin' Up! Finishing Touches Edgelit die and set it aside. Next create the strip with the following Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write markers: Cameo Coral, Lovely Lilac, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight, a water spritzer and an acrylic block. Just color the acrylic block with each marker, spray it 3 or 4 times with the spritzer, press it onto the card stock and allow it to dry. Repeat this process to create the butterfly's background, when it's dry stamp the butterfly in Stampin' Up! Bravo Burgundy ink and cut it out. Then stamp the swirls and butterflies on the watercolored strip in Bravo Burgundy and Tempting Turquoise inks, attach the the strip to it's first layer then to the front layer. Next stamp the sentiment in Wisteria Wonder ink with a stamp from a Stampin' Up! All Natural set, attach the butterfly with mini pop dots, attach the front to the base and enjoy! Here's another card that I made in slightly different colors:
