I made this gorgeous card with my Stampin' Up! Nature Silhouettes stamp set. I really like it because it's perfect for masculine cards and looks awesome with sponged backgrounds. I love how this turned out. The colors look great together and the polished stone background looks amazing! Here's how to make it:
First cut a 5 7/8" x 9" piece of brown card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4 1/4" x 5 5/8" piece of yellow for the middle layer, a 3" x 3 1/4" piece of brown for the image's first layer, a 2 3/4" x 3" piece of yellow for the image's middle layer, a 2 1/2" x 2 3/4" piece of glossy white for the image, a 1 3/4" x 5 3/8" piece of yellow for the strip's background and a 1 5/8" x 5 1/8" piece of brown for the strip.
Then dry emboss the strip with a Sizzix Wood Grain embossing folder, attach it to it's background then set it aside. Next create the polished stone backgrounds. Click here for an amazing tutorial. The re-inkers that I used are Stampin' Up! Summer Sun, Creamy Caramel and Adirondak Silver Mixative. Allow the backgrounds to dry completely. Then stamp the image on the smaller background in Stazon Jet Black ink. Next spray both backgrounds with acrylic sealer and allow them to dry completely. Then attach the strip to the front layer, attach the image to it's middle layer, then to it's first layer then to the front layer. Finally attach the middle layer to the base and enjoy!
